Student Exchange Program with Walailak University (WUIC, Thailand)

Дата проведения:

In January 2024, the student exchange program with Walailak University (WUIC, Thailand) was launched. For the first time in the history of Voenmeh, two students from the Faculty of Economics, David Grishin and Yana Shakhova, have gone to study economics at this remarkable university for the spring semester from January to May.

The students have chosen three of the most interesting programs: Financial Management, Business Analytics, and Innovations in Entrepreneurship. The WUIC curriculum is based on the study of statistical data from Thai and American companies. They share their experience: “To achieve the maximum grade in our courses (grade A), we need to earn between 80 and 100 points throughout the course through tests, group and individual assignments, as well as attendance. A student who misses more than three classes does not receive credit for the subject (grade F).”

All campuses are equipped with cutting-edge technology and look new and stylish. The classrooms are outfitted with modern technologies that create additional comfort for students. Each classroom has an air conditioning system and more than three screens for displaying lecture materials.

The students live on the campus of the host university, in a dormitory for international students from Russia, Vietnam, China, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Myanmar, and others. The university’s territory is vast, with more than 50 electric buses circulating around it. There are also two large cafeterias and a large innovative hospital complex located on campus.

The students participated in camping trips in the Khao Soon mountains and at a waterfall in Kiriwong village, as well as excursions to the largest Buddhist temples in Thailand. They took part in international cuisine festivals where students from different nationalities showcased their culinary skills and prepared dishes from their countries.

The students express their gratitude to the university administration for making their dream come true – gaining experience studying in another country.

The exchange program continues, with new candidates being selected for study. Thai students also plan to visit our university, where we hope they will make new friends and gain fascinating cultural and educational experiences!
